THE HISTORY OF GUCCI
Gucci was founded in 1921 by Guccio Gucci (1881-1953) in Florence, Tuscany. Guccio honed his skills for almost 20 years before starting his brand. It is one of the oldest Italian fashion brands still in operation today. Gucci is known for particular ‘iconic’ designs across his Gucci sunglasses, bags, shoes and even scarves. But the most iconic in the 21st century is the oversized sunglasses you will see in multiple countries around the world.
Even though Guccio passed many years ago, the brand is still going strong. Today, you would see celebrities such as Brad Pitt, Rihanna, Kristen Stewart and Blake Lively representing the luxury brand.
GUCCI SUNGLASSES FOR SUMMER
ACO proudly carries the Gucci brand, and we have recently added a whole new sunglass range ready for summer in Australia!
If you are looking for women’s sunglasses for summer, look no further than Gucci!
As we already know, Gucci love to be bold and unique, so there are plenty sunnies which are statement pieces. We have noticed that light tinted lenses are in fashion as many of the frames came with different coloured tints. Although we carry more acetate frames, we do have a few new metal aviator styles as well (one comes with a luxury chain). Gucci never misses a beat and we were really excited to have Anna model these to showcase the classic and bold designs of each frame.
THE STREETS OF ROME – GUCCI SUNGLASSES FOR WOMEN
These two models are oversized and iconic! Perfect for making a statement and standing out from the crowd. The model on the left comes with a luxury chain and the one on the right has lovely rose tinted lenses which add an elegant but ‘cool’ look.
WHY SO SERIOUS?
The sunglasses on the left are unisex and would suit strong face shapes, with a lovely light tint included. The sunglasses on the right showcase the bold GUCCI on the arms, perfect for those who want the iconic name displayed.
The pair of sunglasses on the left have a gorgeous purple and tort tone, and consistently are oversized with a slight tint. Definitely worth trying on in-store! The sunglasses on the right are a favourite of ours, on the smaller side but with a curve and still bold.
GUCCI SUNGLASSES FOR MEN
Although this whole post has been focused on women’s Gucci sunglasses, we do have a few unisex models in-store for those men who are interested in this brand. The frame above is a classic take on the aviator, which would be a great look for many men. (Also one of our favourites!)
If you’re interested in purchasing a Gucci frame, we can also make them into prescription sunglasses for you as well which means you won’t be taking these frames off all Summer!
In the meantime, you can have a look at some of the Gucci models we have on our website.
