Paul is a consummate professional and I refer many people to him when they tell me they didn't have a good experience elsewhere, or their spectacles weren't made right. Every time we pick up a new pair of spectacles from ACO, they fit perfectly like a custom tailored dress or suit.
I've been with this mob for years now. Their understanding, assessment process, explanation and service have been beneficial to an older bloke like me. Friendly and helpful and I've found they go the extra yard which to me is good value.Just had my latest checkup and standard still high. What impressed me was the efficient and effective data and records system Paul and team can draw on. Beats my memory hands down.

The front staff are always friendly and up for a chat, and Dr Paul Fotkou is always very thorough in his examinations and tests for a variety of things, and also shows you comparisons against previous years' results for tracking. You are never treated as simply a number/random patient here. Any and all questions are answered for peace of mind and reassurance, as well as inform you of any new research/developments that might benefit you.

Paul is a wonderful optometrist - friendly and highly professional. He is great with children, and my 3-year-old had a very positive experience getting his vision tested. He and his staff are friendly, cheerful and professional and leave me feeling that I am a valued customer. Paul has impressive equipment and my examinations have been thorough, with every thing being explained along the way. His "bedside" ("chair/stool side") manner is caring and informative. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Adelaide City Optometrist to anyone looking for high quality optical services in a wonderful supportive environment. His new premises are spacious and airy and have a welcoming feel to them.

Apart from having a great range of unique frames and lenses, Paul is a fantastic Optometrist. He has a caring personality and takes his time to make sure you receive a comprehensive eye test.Well done to you and your team Paul. I look forward to my next visit.
I am happy with this place because:They are on time and punctual. My optometrist always explains everything to me, exactly what he is doing. He is thorough in his examination. The women at the front always make me feel welcome, always greeting me when I enter. The location is convenient making parking easy. I highly recommend these optical specialists.
Visiting from the US - lost my glasses, the team here was incredibly friendly and helpful. Got my glasses as quick as possible, they were quick to answer questions and communicated throughout the process. Great selection of frames and they take the time to find something that suits you well.
Not very professional bc I called for booking an appointment with contact lens consultation, and then they recommended me to book a general test that also includes contact lens prescription. I came to the store and wait for around 30mins. After I talked with the optometrist. She said if I want to book contact lens, I have to book a new appointment for contact lens consultation because they have to conduct a series of tests in order to order the contact lens for me. That’s how I wasted for my time and 90 dollars…..Further response to your response:Hi there,I didn't make my point very clear. Let me make my complaints clearer below:1. You have not told me on phone that multiple appointments will be required before I can get a contact lens. Our communication on phone gave me wrong expectation that I can get the exact test required for contact lens once I come to your store. I hope next time you can give customers full information before recommending them to make an appointment for the first test of multiple tests.2. There is inconsistency between the advice you gave me on phone & the response here and the advice given by the optometrist in the store. On the phone and at here, you say that multiple tests are required before I can get contact lens. It seems to imply that the general test I paid for today is a necessary step in getting contact lens.However, the optometrist's advice in store seemed to suggest that the general test would not help me in getting contact lens at all, I have made a wrong appointment and I have to make another appointment to get what I want. Her advice was given in the course of the general test so I was like being deprived of a chance to refuse the test if it is not necessary. I hope next time you can make the advices more consistent and give customers a chance to make informed decision before asking them to pay for it.
A wonderful range of frames to suit anyone and everyone. Lovely old fashioned store in the flavour of Hutt St; homely yet quirky. Modern attitude and knowledgeable service. So comfortable - a rare find in this cellophane world.😎🌻
Great service as usual!I was able to get in to have my bloodshot eye checked on the same day I called.All is fine just a broken blood vessel which will heal within two weeks, but it nice to know there was no more serious issue for my peace of mind.Thanks team….. great service once again!!
